Wilmina Jocelyn E (4/1/2024, 3:07:06 PM): Hi, this is Wilmina. Welcome to Belkin Global Chat. How can I assist you today?
Takahito (4/1/2024, 3:07:35 PM): Hello, this is Takahito. I'd like to ask you about charging BPB011 and BPB012.
Takahito (4/1/2024, 3:08:20 PM): I use AC adapters that meet the charging inputs specified in each manual, but some AC adapters cannot be charged while others can.
Wilmina Jocelyn E (4/1/2024, 3:09:11 PM): Thank you for reaching out, Don't worry I'll do my best to assist you
Wilmina Jocelyn E (4/1/2024, 3:09:14 PM): Is this working before?
Takahito (4/1/2024, 3:11:36 PM): No.
I have two types of AC adapters and both output the same 5V, 3A 15W.
It is written that both mobile batteries charge by receiving 15W input, so I hope that they can be charged with either AC adapter.
However, one of my ac adapter can charge the battery, but the other one cannot.
So, this is working, but not working.
Wilmina Jocelyn E (4/1/2024, 3:12:46 PM): Which one is not working?
Takahito (4/1/2024, 3:13:55 PM): I'm using "Anker 547 Charger"(120W) and "Anker 735 Charger"(65w).
And 457 can't charge BPB011 and BPB012. 735 can charge both battery.
Wilmina Jocelyn E (4/1/2024, 3:15:17 PM): I see, As the Belkin power bank has
Input:
USB-C ⎓ 5V/3A (15W max)
Output:
USB-C ⎓ 5V/3A (15W max)
USB-A # 1 ⎓ 5V/2.4A (15W max)
USB A # 2 ⎓ 5V/2.4A (15W max)
Takahito (4/1/2024, 3:16:14 PM): I think we are on the same page about the input and output of these power banks.
Wilmina Jocelyn E (4/1/2024, 3:16:32 PM): Sharing this link as well for comparison charts, https://www.belkin.com/support-article/?articleNum=335925
Wilmina Jocelyn E (4/1/2024, 3:17:25 PM): For BPB011 and BPB012. has only 15W Maximum charger power outputcombined
Takahito (4/1/2024, 3:17:48 PM): I know.
Takahito (4/1/2024, 3:19:19 PM): I want to recharge the mobile battery, so I don't think the output of the mobile battery matters much. Is my understanding correct?
Takahito (4/1/2024, 3:20:40 PM): Both have a maximum input of 15W, and I use two types of AC adapters that output just 15W.
One is able to recharge the mobile battery, and the other is troubled by not being able to recharge the mobile battery.
Wilmina Jocelyn E (4/1/2024, 3:21:37 PM): As it will only work with Anker 735 Charger"(65w). Correct?
Takahito (4/1/2024, 3:21:49 PM): Yes
Wilmina Jocelyn E (4/1/2024, 3:22:18 PM): It may or may not work with Anker 547 Charger"(120W) due to charge power output, As it work with 65W.
Wilmina Jocelyn E (4/1/2024, 3:22:32 PM): As 120W has bigger power output.
Takahito (4/1/2024, 3:23:16 PM): 65w is also bigger than 15w.
Takahito (4/1/2024, 3:23:31 PM): I think that's the maximum output, and both ac adapters automatically reduce the output to fit the product.
Wilmina Jocelyn E (4/1/2024, 3:24:58 PM): As per further checking, Yes it could take up to 65W.
Wilmina Jocelyn E (4/1/2024, 3:25:33 PM): It is recommended as well to use 15W.
Wilmina Jocelyn E (4/1/2024, 3:28:29 PM): Sharing this link for FAQs https://www.belkin.com/support-article/?articleNum=333639
Takahito (4/1/2024, 3:30:32 PM): > As per further checking, Yes it could take up to 65W.
In other words, the "input: 15w max" in the product introduction is a lie, right?
Wilmina Jocelyn E (4/1/2024, 3:33:19 PM): Ideally the Belkin device has 15W Maximum charger power outputcombined. And it may or may not work with beyond maximum charger power output.
Wilmina Jocelyn E (4/1/2024, 3:34:13 PM): We recommend to use the 15W output combined.
Wilmina Jocelyn E (4/1/2024, 3:34:33 PM): My apologies for the confusion, Are you referring to the input as well?
Takahito (4/1/2024, 3:35:15 PM): I'm referring only to the input of the power bank.
Wilmina Jocelyn E (4/1/2024, 3:35:30 PM): For input, It is same with the output that has 15W. That may or may not work with beyond 15W.
Wilmina Jocelyn E (4/1/2024, 3:35:40 PM): Power Specifications
Input:
USB-C ⎓ 5V/3A (15W max)
Takahito (4/1/2024, 3:36:55 PM): Both AC Adapters should automatically adjust and output 15W.
Takahito (4/1/2024, 3:38:12 PM): This is just a guess, but it seems like the internal implementation is bad.
Wilmina Jocelyn E (4/1/2024, 3:38:13 PM): I understand, Takahito. We recommend to use the power specifications of the product.
Takahito (4/1/2024, 3:38:27 PM): Ok
Wilmina Jocelyn E (4/1/2024, 3:39:19 PM): Yes, Thank you.
Takahito (4/1/2024, 3:39:22 PM): I understand that even if the AC adapter automatically adjusts and outputs 15 W, it may not be able to charge the battery.
Takahito (4/1/2024, 3:39:42 PM): How can I know about this before buying Belkin products?
Wilmina Jocelyn E (4/1/2024, 3:40:19 PM): As each product has designated power specifications, Takahito.
Takahito (4/1/2024, 3:41:04 PM): Even if it is supposed to meet this specification, it cannot be charged, right?
Wilmina Jocelyn E (4/1/2024, 3:41:12 PM): Feel free to check our Product's FAQs https://www.belkin.com/support-article/?articleNum=333640
Wilmina Jocelyn E (4/1/2024, 3:41:51 PM): It should work with the right specification.
Takahito (4/1/2024, 3:42:55 PM): What I learned from this chat is that an AC adapter that automatically adjusts its output to match the requirements of the power bank may not necessarily be able to charge your battery.
Takahito (4/1/2024, 3:43:24 PM): Does this mean that Belkin does not recommend AC adapters that adjust automatically?
Wilmina Jocelyn E (4/1/2024, 3:44:23 PM): Let me just verify on this, Takahito. Please give me 2-3 minutes. Thank you
Takahito (4/1/2024, 3:44:30 PM): Ok.
Wilmina Jocelyn E (4/1/2024, 3:44:34 PM): Thank you
Takahito (4/1/2024, 3:48:30 PM): Hello?
Wilmina Jocelyn E (4/1/2024, 3:49:44 PM): Hi, Takahito. Still here, Please give me additional 2-3 minutes,. Thank you
Takahito (4/1/2024, 3:52:10 PM): Sure
Wilmina Jocelyn E (4/1/2024, 3:56:14 PM): Thank you for patiently waiting on the line, Takahito. My apologies for the long hold, As verified based from the FAQs the maximum input/output would be 15W. And it may depend on the adapter that you used, as it didn't work with 120W, but did work with 65W.
Wilmina Jocelyn E (4/1/2024, 3:56:45 PM): We apologize for the inconvenience, As it could be that the 120W adapter has compatibility issues with BPB011 and BPB012.
Wilmina Jocelyn E (4/1/2024, 3:56:53 PM): As it did work with 65W adapter.
Wilmina Jocelyn E (4/1/2024, 3:59:30 PM): You may not be aware that you have been idle for three minutes. As much as I’d like to stay, the system will automatically end the session if there will be no response from you for over 2 minutes. I will be waiting for you to respond within the next 2 minutes.
Takahito (4/1/2024, 3:59:57 PM): Although it seems to meet the written requirements, we have found that there are cases in which there are actually compatibility issues. Thank you. I have a last question.
Wilmina Jocelyn E (4/1/2024, 4:00:23 PM): Sure, Go ahead Takahito.
Takahito (4/1/2024, 4:00:50 PM): How can I know about these compatibility issues before buying Belkin products? It seems impossible to know this in advance even after reading the product description and reading all the FAQs.
Wilmina Jocelyn E (4/1/2024, 4:00:50 PM): And you're welcome.
Wilmina Jocelyn E (4/1/2024, 4:01:14 PM): You may based the product specifications on FAQs from Belkin website.
Takahito (4/1/2024, 4:02:47 PM): Is it correct that I cannot know about compatibility issues?
Wilmina Jocelyn E (4/1/2024, 4:03:16 PM): We only based on the product's specifications, Takahito.
Takahito (4/1/2024, 4:05:05 PM): Ok...
(I thought compatibility issues should be included in the specification.)
Takahito (4/1/2024, 4:05:15 PM): Thank you so much.
Wilmina Jocelyn E (4/1/2024, 4:05:31 PM): You're welcome,
